Women's perfume has been popular for centuries so it comes as no surprise when you walk through the aisles of many department stores you see them lined with different varieties of perfume. The nose twitches when presented with the various aromas from countless bottles of perfume. Each perfume being specially crafted to bring about a specific sensation or specific experience - at least in the mind.
Ladies
perfume does fit into various categories. These include citrus, amber, woody,
flowery, powdery, cedar, leather and more. With these sorts of descriptive
names there is no doubt that there will be some seriously interesting aromas to
be smelled by the perfume wearer and those around her.
Ladies
perfume requires a skilled person to produce it - a perfumer who is familiar
with many, many different scents and one who knows how to create a very fine
balance with the right mix of each individual extract. Just as would a
specialist wine taster know his or her craft very well indeed, the same can be
said for the specialist perfumer.
Further
to the creation of the perfect scent, the women's perfume will be packaged in
such a way as to reflect its character. Not only the scent but also the name.
The bottle and packaging will be styled in such a way as to reflect the
underlying theme. It's not the case anymore as it was at one time to disregard
the bottle and packaging to the point that it was somewhat bland. Now the
packaging and bottle design can make or break a perfume so it's vitally
important to get this right.
Besides
today's perfume bottles and packaging are produced at least to some extent to
reduce light and oxygen reducing the quality of the perfume. If too much of
either is allowed to interfere with a perfume then it causes degradation in a
fairly quick manner.
Due
to the cost of the more pure perfumes on the market, which applies to men's
fragrances too, manufacturers these days offer lower concentrations of a
particular perfume to make them more affordable to the customer. There are
various perfumed products available such as body sprays, lotions, creams and
soaps to name a few. These do indeed contain some of the scent of the more pure
perfume but obviously at a lower concentration, thus being affordable to almost
anyone who wishes to indulge but may not have the financial means.
